SUMMER BREAD | |
1 c. butter 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. Jack cheese 1 med. onion, chopped fine Poppy seeds 1 round loaf of sour dough bread Mix in softened butter the onion and poppy seeds. Cut a criss cross pattern in the loaf of bread almost through to the bottom. Spread the butter mixture thickly in each cut. Slice the Jack cheese rather thick and insert a slice in each cut of the bread. Wrap the loaf completely in foil and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted. To serve, remove from foil and just tear off a piece. |
