PRETZEL DESSERT | |
2 1/2 c. crushed pretzels 3/4 c. butter 3 tbsp. sugar 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese 1 c. sugar 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry Jello 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries Mix the pretzels, butter and sugar. Press in 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool. Soften cream cheese and mix with sugar. Fold mixture with Cool Whip. Spread over cooled pretzel crust. Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water. Add strawberries, juice and all, and stir until berries are thawed and starting to set. Pour over Cool Whip mixture and refrigerate until set. I use light cream cheese and Cool Whip to cut calories. Also, substitute reduced calorie butter for crust. |
