BISCUITS AND GRAVY | |
1/2 lb. pork breakfast sausage (ground type) 1/4 of a med. yellow onion, finely chopped 3 tbsp. flour 2 c. hot milk Dash Tabasco sauce 1 roll/tube oven style buttermilk biscuits In a large frying pan, fry the sausage and onions until sausage is brown and onions are clear. Drain off all grease except 2 tablespoons. Stir in flour and cook for just a minute. Add hot milk (can be heated in the microwave). Stir constantly (with a fork) until mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper; stir in Tabasco sauce. Remember pork is salty, so be cautious when adding salt. Serve over open faced hot biscuits. |
