BEST SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. sour cream or sour half & half
2 eggs
2 tbsp. lemon juice
3 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Sugar

Beat butter in medium bowl until fluffy; beat in sugar. Mix in sour cream, eggs and lemon juice. Mix in combined flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Roll dough into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten to 2 inches in diameter with bottom of glass. Bake at 375 degrees until beginning to brown, about 10 minutes.
