TWISTED JELLY COCONUT COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
Jam (any flavor)
Chopped nuts
Coconut
Cinnamon

Mix first 6 ingredients together. Roll out a portion of dough 1/8 inch thick. Brush with butter. Spread with jam. Sprinkle sugar, coconut, chopped nuts, and a little cinnamon. Fold; cut into strips and twist. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until slightly brown.
