VOYAGUER PEA SOUP 
1 lb. salt pork, cubed
2 lb. whole peas
5 qt. water
1 med. onion, chopped

Bring water to a rolling boil, put in meat and onion. Allow to simmer at a slight boil for 15 minutes. Simmer for 6-8 hours, adding additional water as needed.
