BEST CARAMEL ICING 
1 c. brown sugar
1 3/4 c. to 2 c. confectioners' sugar (sifted)
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. milk

Melt butter, add brown sugar and cook over low heat for two minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and continue stirring until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and place in sink of ice water. While in water, add confectioner's sugar until right consistency. Remove from water and frost cake. Good on oatmeal cake.
