SHRIMP CABBAGE OMELET 
1/4 head cabbage and full cabbage core
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. chopped parsley
1 sm. can shrimp
1/2 stick butter
1/2 onion
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
Garlic powder

Cut core of cabbage into thin rectangular slices. Add soy sauce and parsley and marinate for 45 minutes. Cut cabbage into thin slices, and slice onion. Melt butter in skillet and saute cabbage and onion until cooked. Remove from heat. Add marinated mixture and drained shrimp. Mix eggs, garlic powder, milk and salt and pepper to taste. Fry as omelet and stuff with cabbage mixture. Serves 2.

My mother used to make this recipe over 30 years ago. But she added a hot pepper cut up to the cabbage core/soy sauce mixture. It added a kick and was delicious. I recently found the recipe and it is as good as I remember it.
