CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
4 sweet potatoes
1 c. sugar
Dash salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 stick butter
2 slices lemon
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. water

Peel and cut potatoes; place in baking dish. Cover potatoes with sugar and salt. Then sprinkle cinnamon over that. Cover with pieces of butter. Twist lemon over this and put peel in also.

Sift flour evenly over potatoes. Add water so that it can't be seen. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour. Baste frequently.
