DRIED APPLE ROLLS WITH SAUCE 
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
3 c. dried apples, sweetened to taste (3 c. after cooking)

Mix as if making biscuits, roll out to about 1/4 inch thick. Brush with melted butter. Spread with the apples. Roll like a jelly roll and cut about every inch. Place on cookie sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes or until brown in 400 degree oven.

SAUCE:

2 c. milk
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan blend sugar and cornstarch; add milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Add vanilla. Serve warm over apples. Makes 12-14 rolls.
