CHOCOLATE FILLED BONBONS 
1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 2/3 c. unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
36 chocolate kisses (unwrapped)
36 pecan halves

Cream Crisco, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and egg in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Press 2 level measuring teaspoons of dough around each kiss completely. Place pecan on top of each. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 400°F for 6 to 7 minutes. Cookies do not brown and do not overbake. Gently press pecans into hot cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Remove to cooling rack.
