Make pie crust for 1 crust. Line 9 inch pan. Peel and quarter about 5 large apples (7 cups). Sprinkle 2 tablespoons lemon juice over apple slices.
Mix: 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Sprinkle over apples, stir to coat. Put apples into pie shell.
Mix: 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. butter
Mix until crumbly and pour over apples in pie shell. Cover loosely with foil. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover. Drizzle 1/2 cup whipping cream over pie (DON'T WHIP CREAM). Bake 15 minutes more. Remove from oven. Drizzle 1/2 cup cream over again. Cool one hour.
