WILD RICE STUFFING 
1/2 c. wild rice
1 qt. boiling water
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sauteed
1/2 tsp. sage
Dash thyme
1 tbsp. vegetable shortening
1 egg yolk, beaten

Cook rice in the boiling water until tender, approximately 25 minutes. Drain and rinse. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Will fill a 2 pound bird.
