COOKIES FROM UNCLE DAVE'S COOKBOOK | |
1 1/2 sticks butter 1 1/4 light brown sugar, firmly packed 1/4 cup light corn syrup 2 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 tsp salt 1/4 baking soda 1 large egg 2 1/4 unbleached all-purpose flour 1 cup toasted chopped nuts, optional 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 375°F degrees. Beat the butter, light brown sugar, and corn syrup together until fluffy. Beat in the vanilla, baking powder, salt, and baking soda, and then mix in the egg. Beat mixure well. Beat in the flour, then fold in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop cookie dough on a lightly greased or parchment papered pan. Bake 12-14 minutes until golden brown. Delicious!
