1 c. oil
3 eggs
2 c. thinly sliced apples
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 c. sifted self rising flour

Mix all and bake in prepared springform pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

CARAMEL TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix and bring to a boil. Boil about 2 minutes. Spoon over sliced cake just before serving.
