SNACK TIME COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. coconut

Blend shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients and add. Fold in coconut and nuts. Drop by teaspoon and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Recipe can be doubled. Good for freezing.
