SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
6 eggs, separated
3 c. plain cake flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream sugar and butter well. Add egg yolks two at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sour cream; mix. Add flavoring. Mix in 1 cup flour. Beat whites until they hold peak; fold into mixture. Add remaining flour, soda, and salt. Put into greased and lined pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours in preheated 300 degree oven.
