1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. fresh or frozen blueberries
3 tbsp. butter, melted
3 tbsp. sugar

Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

Roll dough to 1/2" thickness; cut with a 2 1/2" biscuit cutter. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
