OLD FASHIONED CREAM PIE 
1 (9-inch) pie crust, unbaked
7/8 c. white sugar
1/8 c. loosely packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 3/4 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla
1 pt. whipping cream

Mix sugars, flour and salt thoroughly, no lumps. Add small amount of cream plus vanilla and spread carefully in bottom of crust. Heat rest of cream warm, do not boil. Ladle or carefully pour into pie. Bake at 450 degrees for 8 1/2 minutes, reduce oven to 300 degrees, bake approximately 40 minutes.

Two teaspoons vanilla makes it tastier. If pie seems too soft after chilling, go up on measuring of flour 1/4 tablespoon at a time.
