AUNT CONNIE'S BEER BREAD 
3 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. sugar
12 oz. beer at room temperature (put in hot water if beer is cold)
butter, softened

Stir flour and sugar together in a bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in beer (it will bubble!).

Stir well. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 1 hour. When done spread butter on top and then cool on it's side on rack for about 45 minutes. Enjoy!
