1/2 c. butter 1 sq. unsweetened chocolate 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg, beaten 2 c. graham cracker crumbs 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 c. coconut 1/4 c. butter 1 tbsp. milk or cream 2 c. confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan. Blend sugar, vanilla, egg, nuts, coconut and graham cracker crumbs into butter-chocolate mixture. Press into an 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch pan or a 9 x 9 x 1 3/4 inch pan. Refrigerate while making filling. Cream 1/4 cup butter, milk, confectioners' sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix and spread over crumb mixture. Next melt 1 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate and put over creamed mixture. Cut into small squares. Refrigerate. 3 to 4 dozen squares. |
