INDIAN FRY BREAD 
2 cups flour
4 rounded tsp. baking powder
About 3/4 to 1 tsp. salt
3/4 to 1 cup tepid water (warm)

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Stir a few strokes to mix. Add warm water, mix to make a "moist" dough. Put on floured board. Knead only to form a rounded ball of dough. Press and pat out to approximately 1/2 inch thick.

Using a knife, cut in desired pieces making a slit in center of each piece.

Fry in hot (375°F) deep fat. Drain on paper towels.

Cover with aluminum foil or paper towels to keep warm.
