JALAPENO CORNBREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. oil
1 can cream style corn
1 lb. ground meat
1 chopped onion
1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
3 to 5 Jalapeno peppers

Mix cornmeal, milk, eggs, salt, soda, oil and can of corn to make cornbread batter. Brown meat and onion. Drain. Layer bottom of 9 x 13 greased pan with ground meat, sprinkle with cheese. Spoon part of cornbread batter over this. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
