CHOCOLATE REFRIGERATOR COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Melt the chocolate and add to the above. Then add flour, soda, and salt. Roll and wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for several hours. Slice thin and bake in 400°F oven for 5-8 minutes.

Cooks Note: These burn quickly so do not overbake.

Out of all the refrig cookies, you are the best chef - you offer a tip that no one else has: Watch them, because they burn easily. A 375°F oven would work, but still people would burn them. They are like biscotti. I have made these cookies(or similar) every year for the last 15 and your last tip is the most valuable. Thank you for being an attentive and great chef!
