FROSTED SHORTBREAD SQUARES | |
2 c. flour 1/2 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. butter 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 2/3 c. chopped nuts Mix flour, brown sugar and butter together until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Press into an ungreased 15 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-28 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately pour the chocolate chips over the top of the shortbread. As the chocolate melts, gently spread over the top of the shortbread (you must work quickly). Sprinkle nuts over the chocolate and gently press in. Cut into squares while warm. |
