LEMON SHORTBREAD SQUARES 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. almonds

Mix all except almonds. Press into 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Press almonds into top. Score part way through. Bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool for 5 minutes. Cut into squares.
