HARD TACK 
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. light Karo
1/2 c. water
Flavoring of choice

Mix sugar, karo and water in saucepan. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Cook without stirring until mixture forms a hard ball. Add coloring and flavoring. Pour onto a greased sheet. After it hardens, cut with scissors or break into pieces. Roll in powdered sugar.
