FRESH APPLE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 lg. apples, cut in sm. pieces

Combine oil, sugar, and eggs; beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Add combined flour, salt, soda, and also the vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans. Bake in well greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes and pour on the following sauce.

SAUCE:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. milk

Combine and bring to a boil and reduce heat; cook 10 minutes. While hot, pour on cooled cake.
