SNICKERDOODLES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, mix well. Add flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar. Roll into balls, dip in mixture of sugar and cinnamon and pat slightly to flatten, on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
