BLUEBERRY SYRUP 
2 qt. blueberries
4 c. sugar
3/4 c. cold water

Mash fruit, sprinkle with sugar and let stand in refrigerator overnight. Add cold water and boil for 20 minutes. Strain and bring to a boil. Pour into clean hot jars and process for 10 minutes in boiling water bath. Can substitute raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, peaches, or bananas. With rhubarb, add 2 more cups sugar.
