SOUR - CREAM SNOWCAP DROPS 
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs

B:
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

C:
2 3/4 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix A and stir in B. Then stir in C. Chill for one hour. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 minutes. Cool.

ICING (for double batch of cookies) :
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. powdered sugar
1 to 2 tbsp. milk
Food coloring (optional)

Cream shortening and butter. Add vanilla. Beat well. Add powdered sugar, one cup at a time. Mix well after each addition. After two cups of powdered sugar have been added, mix in all of the milk. Food coloring may be added, depending upon the holiday - mix yellow and red for orange at Halloween; tint pink and some green at Christmas; or all pastels at Easter; or leave white for "snow". These cookies will simply "melt" in your mouth like snow.
