GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
Potatoes (boil with skin on & peel), about 2 to 3 qts.
5 strips of bacon
2 tbsp. (slightly rounded) flour
1 c. hot water
1 c. cream or milk
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. vinegar
1 onion (size of walnut)
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste

Cut bacon into little squares and fry golden brown. Remove the bacon from the fat. Use the bacon for garnishing. Add flour and blend with the fat. Add hot water and blend until smooth. Add cream, then sugar and last vinegar and onion, salt and pepper. Add sliced potatoes. Garnish with bacon squares.
