CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1 pkg. cake mix, white or yellow 1/2 c. cooking oil 2 tbsp. water 2 eggs 1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped nutmeats Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend dry cake mix, oil, water and eggs. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop from teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Top of cookie will look pale. Cool on cookie sheet for about 1 minute, then remove to rack to finish cooling. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies. I no longer use the toll house recipe as we prefer the flavor of these cookies. They have been taste-tested by ninos in Guatemala and Mexico and teens in Arizona with plate emptying results. |
