PASTRY FRUIT BARS 
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 eggs
1/2 lb. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
2 cans pie filling

Blend all of the above dry ingredients into the softened butter in a large bowl. Divide into 2 balls. Pat 1 ball into greased jelly roll pan (to cover). Spread pie fillings over this dough and crumble second dough ball over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
