BEST STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE
roughly 1 cup of ice
1 medium banana
1/2 to 3/4 cup of orange juice
3 small handfuls of strawberries, or roughly 10 to 12, hulled
2 tsp. sugar, honey or sugar substitute (optional)

Using a blender, grind ice down to marble size pieces. This will help the ice blend with the smoothie better. Add orange juice and strawberries. Peel banana and break it up into pieces and add to blender. Add sugar, to taste. Blend to preferred consistency.

This recepie was great. Try freezing the fruit (already cut) and also add little bit of milk to make it smoother.

Tried this recipe for the first time and I don't care for it that much, the orange really over powers the strawberry and banana, my original recipe doesn't use orange juice which I prefer.

I love this recipe but it needs yogurt to thicken it up

I truly loved it and so did my son. I would like it to be a little thicker, maybe next time I'll add a little more fruit but it was still great and I froze some to have a slushy. Yumm!

Yummo, but I must agree with Sam... adding a 1/2 cup of yogurt was awesome. We used vanilla though. Very good recipe!

 Sam (North Carolina) says:
Pretty good but not as outstanding as it seemed. If you add about a 1/2 cup strawberry yogurt makes it thicker and creamier because otherwise its pretty thin but its pretty good still.
