TEA CAKES 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. canned milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg, vanilla and milk. Add flour, baking powder and salt, one cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Dough will be very stiff; blend last flour in by hand. Do not chill dough.

Divide dough into 2 balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball in a circle 12 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick. Spray cookie cutters with Pam. Bake cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for 8-9 minutes or until cookies are light brown.
