CHICKEN THAT MAKES ITS OWN GRAVY 
3 to 3 1/2 lb. frying chicken pieces
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
2/3 c. evaporated milk
10 1/2 oz. cream of mushroom soup
1 c. American cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash paprika

Coat chicken with flour; arrange in single layer, skins down, in butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, in 425 degree oven for 30 minutes. Turn chicken; bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until done. Remove from oven; reduce heat to 325 degrees.

Add onions and mushrooms to chicken. Combine evaporated milk, cheese, soup, salt, pepper and paprika. Pour over chicken, sprinkle with paprika, cover with foil and bake 15 to 20 minutes.
