AUNT LEONA'S DRINKING CUSTARD | |
1 qt. milk Mix together: Pinch salt 6 egg yolks 2/3 c. sugar Gradually stir 1/2 cup of the very hot milk into the egg yolks (be careful not to cook the egg yolks.) Add egg yolk-milk mixture to the remainder of the hot milk. Cook over double boiler until mixture thickens just enough to coat metal spoon. Remove from heat. Cool. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Strain if necessary. |
