RICE PILAF WITH MEATBALLS 
2 c. chicken stock
2 c. water
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 1/2 c. rice
16 oz. can bean sprouts, drained
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. hot bulk sausage
5 oz. can water chestnuts, chopped
Pimiento strips, chopped green onions and fried-egg strips (for garnish)
Soy sauce

Bring chicken stock and water to boil. Add onion soup mix and boil a few minutes. Add rice and put in 9 x 12-inch baking dish. Bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes or until rice is done. Stir in bean sprouts. Make meatballs by mixing beef, sausage, and water chestnuts. Form into 12 balls. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. Arrange around rice and garnish with pimiento strips, chopped green onions and fried egg strips (fry and slightly beat seasoned eggs in large skillet. Turn and cut into strips.) Serve with soy sauce. Serves 5.
