BLACKBERRY DUMPLINGS 
2 c. frozen blackberries
1 c. sugar (more if desired)
1 1/4 c. self-rising flour
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. milk

Cover berries with water and sugar; cook until soft. Meanwhile, mix flour, vegetable oil and milk. Turn out on a floured surface and roll thin. Cut into 1-inch squares and drop into hot berry mixture. Cook on low heat until done (about 10 minutes).
