PINEAPPLE FILLING 
1 #2 can crushed pineapple
1/2 stick butter
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour
3/4 can water of pineapple can
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix together sugar, flour and salt. Add pineapple and mix well. Add water and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until thickened about 5 minute. Let cool a little. Put cake together while both cake and filling are warm (not hot).

I added a little angel flake coconut because we like coconut, but it is not necessary.
