VEAL AND PORK STROGANOFF WITH
SAUERKRAUT
 
6 tbsp. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 lb. veal, 1" cubes
3/4 lb. pork, 1" cubes
1 lb. sauerkraut
1 wine glass sauterne wine
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. caraway seed

Saute the onions in butter until golden. Add the meat and brown lightly. Add the sauerkraut and wine. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add sour cream and caraway seed. Simmer 30 minutes longer. Serves 4.
