CHICKEN IN CROCK POT 
1 roasting chicken, about 3 lb.
Salt, pepper, and paprika to taste
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. water
2-4 tbsp. flour

Sprinkle inside and out with salt, pepper, and paprika. In large skillet heat butter. Add chicken and brown on all sides, reserve drippings. Place chicken, breast up, into crock pot. Sprinkle with parsley. Pour chicken broth into skillet with drippings, stir to loosen crusty bites in skillet, then pour over chicken. Cover and simmer on high 6-7 hours. In saucepan, blend water with flour, stir in juices from crock pot. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Pour over your helping of chicken.
