1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. M&M'S® candies, plain
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt

Blend shortening and sugar in large bowl. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Blend well. Stir in 1/2 cup candies. Drop by teaspoon on a cookie sheet (ungreased). Decorate tops with remaining candy. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
