LUSCIOUS LAYER BARS | |
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 1 sm. box vanilla instant pudding 1/2 c. butter, softened 1/2 c. dairy sour cream 3 eggs 2 c. coconut 1 c. chopped nuts 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk 1 can ready to spread chocolate or butter pecan frosting Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan or baking dish. In large bowl combine cake mix, 1/2 cup butter, sour cream and eggs at low speed until moistened, beat 2 minutes at highest speed. Stir in nuts. Spread in prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes (center will not be firm). In medium bowl, combine coconut and milk gently spoon and spread over partially baked base. Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. Spread frosting over bars. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars. |
