BASTING SAUCE 
1/4 c. olive or salad oil
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 c. honey
1 c. catsup
1 c. wine vinegar
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme

Heat oil in saucepan. Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook until tender. Add all remaining ingredients and cook to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook another 5 minutes very slowly. Makes 1 quart.

Perfect for basting hamburgers, steaks, frankfurters, spareribs, chops, ham steaks, beef and pork roasts.
