APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
4 c. chopped peeled apples
Cinnamon and sugar

Simmer water and sugar for 5 minutes. In a bowl blend flour, baking powder, salt, and butter. Add milk and apples all at once; mix well. Pour hot water and sugar mixture into a 9x13 pan. Drop batter in spoonfuls into syrup; sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes.
