CANDIED PICKLES 
Whole dill pickles

Wash in cold water and dry thoroughly. Cut in strips.

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. pickling spice

Bring mixture to a boil, let cool, then pour over pickles in jar that has tight cap. Turn upside down for 3 days. Then pickles are ready.
