WHOLE WHEAT CHILI 
1 1/4 c. whole wheat
5 c. water
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 tbsp. dry or chopped onions
Salt and pepper
1/4 tsp. basil
4 c. tomato juice
1 pkg. chili seasoning or 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 lb. hamburger

Bring water and wheat to boil. Turn heat down low for 2 to 3 hours, or bring to boil and soak overnight. Add bouillon, onion, salt, pepper, and basil. Brown hamburger, season with onion salt. Add remaining ingredients. May need more tomato juice or V-8 juice as it stands.
