APPLE TORTE 
4 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.

CARAMEL SAUCE:

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. butter

Boil 2 minutes. Serve warm over torte with whipped cream, Cool Whip or ice cream on top. If sauce gets too hard, warm it.
